About me
Hi, I’m Gabrielle—but you can call me Gabby.
First and foremost, I am a mum of three (plus a St Bernard that is basically a fourth child) and a specialist social worker. Life is a mix of family chaos, a deep curiosity about human stories, and a fierce dedication to keeping women, children, and families safe.
As a social worker, supervisor and group facilitator, I specialise in child safety, trauma-transformative practices and education. I have over 13 years experience in frontline child protection roles, women’s mental health, group facilitation, social work clinical education and leadership.

For a long time, I actually didn’t know how to answer the question, ‘Why did you choose social work?’ People would ask me all the time—especially why I chose to step into more challenging roles in child and family safety—and I never really had a neat, tidy answer. I just knew in my bones that it was where I was meant to be.
It took years of being in this profession, doing the work day in and day out, to finally uncover my 'why.' Looking back I realised I chose social work because I understand how difficult it can be to navigate situations where safety is compromised, and how much it can matter when a professional responds with warmth, confidence and clarity. These experiences have shaped my belief in the importance of creating spaces where people feel heard, supported and treated with care.
The trajectory of my career has always been driven by a simple instinct: seeing a gap and stepping in to fill it.
Later in my career, that instinct turned inward toward our profession. I realised the best way I could continue to support children and families was to empower practitioner’s doing the work. So, I became the supervisor I always wished I’d had, and I started providing the practical social work education I wish I had when I started.
Now, I’m taking that passion a step further—extending that dedicated supervision, education, and real-world resources to the wider professional community.
What Keeps Me in the Profession
Social work is incredibly rewarding, but let’s be honest—it’s also lot of other things. What keeps me here is the resilience of the families I work with and the incredible dedication of the professionals alongside me. I stay because I know that change is possible when frontline workers are properly supported. Child and family safety is everybody’s business, and I am driven by the collective power we have when we stand together.
What Makes My Sessions Different
My sessions are grounded, warm, and deeply practical. I am naturally curious and analytical; I don't just look at the surface, I look at the whole picture.
I bring my real, authentic self to the table. We will laugh, we will unpack the hard stuff, and we will do it in a space that feels entirely safe, always honest but never judgmental.
When you work with me, I want you to walk away feeling deeply seen, completely capable, and quietly confident. You will leave our time together with practical, actionable tools, a clearer safety lens, and the reassurance that you are not doing this work in isolation.
If you are a professional feeling like you are struggling—carrying the weight of heavy cases, second-guessing your decisions, or feeling the quiet burnout of caring so deeply—these offerings are my gift to you.
